In the heart of Montreal, Plaza Rive-Sud set the stage for a wedding that was anything but ordinary! With a captivating blend of gothic allure and rustic charm, the celebration of Frank and Victoria painted a unique love story that resonated deeply with those who cherish... Halloween.
When talking to Victoria after the wedding, she mentioned her love and passion for the darker, more mysterious elements of life—the art of scare! Frank and Victoria spend their time watching horror movies, planning epic Halloween decorations for their house in Montreal, pulling off scary pranks, and designing some really creative costumes! I'm not surprised that her wedding would have a similar theme. As you can imagine, this wedding left attendees utterly mesmerized! For those who know me, know I am absolutely obsessed with Halloween and Horror. I was honored to be a part of this celebration!
Victoria stole the spotlight in her exquisite black gothic dress, breaking away from the traditional white gown. She embraced her unique style that resonated with the essence of the event and all the creepy skeletons around the room! Simply put, she looked stunning! When I walked into the bridal suite and saw the dress, it put a spell on me! I wanted to treat her bridal prep more like an editorial portrait session. She was open to trying new things and completely trusted me to create something unique and timeless for her. I did what I know how to do best and got right into setting up strobes and off-camera lighting.
This was my first time photographing a wedding at Plaza Rive-Sud. What a gorgeous venue! It provided the perfect backdrop for this one-of-a-kind, gothic wedding. The stone steps, floral arrangements, warm candles, enchanted forests, and back ravine created an atmosphere of magic and mystery. I would highly recommend this venue to those who are looking for an intimate setting in Montreal.
I think the best part of this wedding was its intimate nature. With around 80 guests in attendance, the celebration felt like a close-knit gathering of kindred spirits. Loved ones gathered from far and near to witness the union of two ghouls who dared to embrace the unconventional and create a memory that would last a lifetime. This wedding was unique in so many ways but, more importantly, it embraced the beauty of contrast, the allure of the mysterious, and the power of authenticity. This wedding will forever be remembered as a reminder that true beauty lies in embracing one's inner essence and fearlessly sharing it with the world.
